Adult Education

Promoting lifelong learning to all sectors of the temple community is the mission of the Adult Education Committee. We try to make everyone feel welcome by providing a wide variety of learning experiences, including lectures, workshops and Temple University – mini-courses that take place over several weeks. Most of our offerings are open to the larger Jewish community and are a great way to get to know Temple Beth El. With other Temple organizations, we co-sponsor many other learning opportunities for our community.

We have ongoing Torah Study most Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Please join us for lively, light and learned discussion conducted by our Rabbi. Evening programs include study of Jewish holidays and practices, Talmud and Adult B’nai Mitzvah. Sunday mornings, Adult Beginner Hebrew classes are held geared to parents of Religious School students. We look forward to continuing to develop programs that are pertinent to our temple community members and welcome new committee members at any time.

If you are interested in learning more or getting involved in adult education, please email Bette Balsam.
