High Holy day Service Schedule 2018  (5779)

Please Take Note – We will have only one morning service on Rosh Hashanah Morning and Yom Kippur Morning – New starting time as well!

High Holy Days at Temple Beth El are a spiritual community gathering like no other. This year our two families, Beth El and Beth Or will share some services.  Our shared Selichot service will be at Temple Beth Or in Washington Twp.  Our Second Day Rosh Hashanah service will be held at Temple Beth El.  Our musically rich services are lead by Rabbi David Widzer, Cantor Elizabeth Goldmann and greatly enriched by our Music Director James Rensink, our professional and shofar choirs, the TBE Torah Corps and world class musicians. Services begin on the eve of Rosh Hashanah and continue through Havdalah at the end of Yom Kippur. Please see our 2018/5779 service schedule listed below. Many services are open to the entire community! Majestic music, stirring sermons and the sounds of the shofar all add to the spiritual journey of the Holy Day machzor (prayer book).

Selichot is time to get yourself ready for the High Holy Days.  We’ll watch a movie with High Holy Day themes, enjoy delicious desserts, and change the Torah mantles to their holiday colors during a beautiful late-night service.  Watch for more details about this wonderful night of reflection, discussion, and preparation.
