TBE Religious School
Congratulations to Rabbi Beth Kramer Mazer, Temple Beth El Director of Congregational Learning on her ordination as a Rabbi on May 12, 2016!
A lifelong Reform Jew, she most recently served as the Director of Lifelong Learning at Temple Beth El in Spring Valley, where she was responsible for all areas of the religious school as well as all family education of the synagogue. In addition, Beth is a graduate of the elite, by-invitation-only professional development initiative called the Leadership Institute for Congregational School Educators, a joint program between Hebrew Union College and the Jewish Theological Seminary. Rabbi Beth’s vibrant and infectious spirit infuses her love for Judaism and her passion for teaching and learning. She lives in New City with her husband, Ross, and their two daughters, Shoshana and Jordana.

Our Religious School seeks to inspire in our students a lifelong commitment to Jewish living.
(Jewish learning and values),
(prayer and spiritual growth), and
(acts of loving-kindness).
Our broad-based Judaic curriculum includes values, holidays, life-cycle events, mitzvot, Jewish history and, of course, Israel.
Our hands-on learning and family education opportunities at every grade level engage and encourage our students to deepen their knowledge and commitment to Judaism.
Our Hebrew program empowers our students to develop strong Hebrew reading skills along with an understanding of Shabbat prayers as our students prepare to become b’nai mitzvah.
Students in our post b’nai mitzvah Kadimah program encounter contemporary Jewish issues as they prepare for Confirmation.
Many of our Religious School graduates become Madrichim in the school, sharing their experiences and enthusiasm with our younger students.
Outside-the-classroom experiences include working with senior citizens at the Jewish Homes in Rockleigh and River Vale; helping out at the HUC-JIR soup kitchen in New York City; and trips to culturally significant sites such as Ellis Island.
Check out our schedule and our calendar for more information about the schedule and exciting upcoming events.
Rabbi Beth Kramer-Mazer, our Director of Education, looks forward to your questions. Please stop by the Religious School office, give us a call at 201-768-2195, or e-mail Rabbi Beth at firstname.lastname@example.org.
