Service of Confirmation

Service of Confirmation for the Class of 5777

Tuesday, May 30, 7:00 p.m.

Confirmation is the next important Jewish life cycle event after becoming Bar/Bat Mitzvah. It marks a young adult’s reaffirmation of his or her Jewish identity. At Temple Beth El, it is the culmination of a year of discussion and learning as our students wrestle with the question of what being Jewish means to them.

Our Service of Confirmation takes places during the evening service for Shavuot, the festival when we celebrate receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai. Our 8th grade students will lead the worship service, as our 9th and 10th grades Confirmation Class reads the Ten Commandments from the Torah and reflects on their understanding of what it means to them to be Jewish.

Please join us for this important moment in the lives of our 9th & 10th grade students, their families, and our congregation.

Congratulations to the Confirmation Class of 5777
