Joining a chavurah is a great way to get to know other Temple members and their families. It’s a great way for new members at Beth El to feel a part of the community and can help current members expand their circle of Jewish friends. A chavurah is a group of six to eight households who get together on a regular basis to socialize, celebrate holidays or share other interests. Each chavurah sets up its own agenda. Some may enjoy Shabbat dinner, have a holiday party, go camping, talk about new books or try out new restaurants. By completing a short questionnaire members are matched with people who have similar interests, backgrounds and goals.
