Get Involved

More than anything, Beth El is a community thriving with programs, activities and opportunities to get involved with Jewish life and to care for and embrace our community. Our adult congregants are active in Men’s Club and Sisterhood.  Our young people join together to celebrate their Jewish identity through the BEETY (Beth El Temple Youth) program, and to sing with Rinat Beth El Choir.  Those among us suffering from illness or family trauma are supported by a Caring Community with meals, rides and other forms of assistance. Our Social Action group endeavors towards Tikkun Olam with many opportunities to better the community around us and the world we live in.  Our music committee organizes wonderful concerts and guest artists for our worship services.  Several congregants bring instruments and the songs in their hearts to enrich several Shabbat evening services throughout the year in our Shabbat Unplugged Band.  Many of our families form strong bonds together in our Chavurah program.  Opportunities to get involved and connect are right at your fingertips here at Temple Beth El.

Here are a few ways to volunteer your time and skills:

  • To volunteer on an as needed basis in the Temple office or to help set up Shabbat dinners and other events, please email the office and let us know you are interested, or call 201-768-5112.
  • You can share your technology skills by serving on our technology support team. We need good techies to serve on this team, in an as-needed and as available basis.  If you are interested please email Jeff Silver.
  • You can perform the mitzvah of making shiva by serving on the ritual committee shiva minyan group.  Please mail Marty Kasdan if you are interested.
