Lifecycle Events

Birth, Coming of Age, Marriage and Death are all stages in the Jewish journey. Temple Beth El is there with rituals and ceremonies to bring the eternal into moments of transition.

  • Baby Namings take place at Friday evening Shabbat services at the temple or in member’s homes with creative rituals and readings
  • B’Nai Mitzvah are celebrated as a new Jewish adult is led through the process of learning to lead a service and ultimately recite the Torah blessing in front of the entire community
  • Marriages are celebrated privately in the Sanctuary or Chapel while pre-wedding blessings (ufruf) are joyfully included in Friday evening Shabbat services.
  • Yahrzeit and Deaths are sorrowful times when those mourning are supported by the clergy and community from funeral to shiva and beyond.

The Temple Beth El community is here for all congregants with strong community support at every joyful stage of life and through the path of grief and mourning as well.
