Men’s Club

Our first annual Kol Dorot Poker Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 30th at 7:00pm (1st deal at 8pm) at Temple Beth Or. It promises to be a great night with beer, food, college basketball and poker. Most importantly, it’s an excellent way to meet other dads from Kol Dorot (TBO/TBE) while we raise a lot of money for charity. The game is open to beginners and advanced players alike.

As congregants of Temple Beth El of Northern Valley, we strive to create a feeling of community among people who are passionate about Judaism and recognize the importance of Judaism in their everyday lives.  The Men’s Club is just one way in which our congregation achieves that goal.

The Temple Beth El Men’s Club — for those of you uncertain – is a community of men in our congregation interested in finding ways to infuse Judaism into their lives – either by volunteering their time, learning about important issues of the day, or simply by having fun.   As president of the Men’s Club, I hope to offer programs that do just that … and so much more!

Over the course of the past year I have listened to our members and have tried to develop a series of events throughout the year that brings us together by inspiring us with lectures, entertaining us and our families for the holidays, and offering us an occasional guys night out.

    • Get together for sporting events – from Monday night football at a local bar to a family Devils game at the Prudential Center to a Sunday morning tennis round robin
    • Help decorate the Sukkah and celebrate Chanukah with our families; and,
  • Listen and learn at our popular Sunday Morning Breakfast Club Speakers Series

From latkes to hamentaschen, the Men’s Club does its best to bring the members of our temple community together.

In addition, the Men’s Club also coordinates the videos of Bar and Bat Mitzvah services, helps to provide the Kiddush cups for our B’nai Mitzvah students and offers Yom Hashoah candles to our religious school students.  I hope you will find time to join us this year.
