Merger News – naming and design survey!

After the great news that both Temple Beth El and Temple Beth Or have signed a merger agreement; now on behalf of the merged entity, Temple Beth El is now in the process of purchasing the property at 660 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell.

The Joint Integration Committee with representation from both temples has been meeting regularly to create our future congregation’s new governing documents and outline its infrastructure.  It has also formed a Design & Construction Committee to move forward on the modifications to the new property in Oradell.  The Ives Architecture Studio of Fair Lawn, NJ was selected to design our new facility. Thank you to the Design Team members from TBE & TBO who interviewed multiple architecture firms over the past few months.

Our next step involves all of you! On Friday, August 3 we are sending congregants an invitation to participate in a brief survey.

Your feedback will help:

• create a meaningful name for our new Reform Jewish community and
• guide the architectural/design vision for our new spiritual home.

The survey is available via Survey Monkey, sent to all congregants from both temples, and will be available from Friday, August 3 through Friday, August 17. It is designed to take less than 10 minutes to complete. On behalf of the clergy and transition team members, we thank you in advance for your participation. We look forward to sharing our new name and the concept for our new synagogue building at the High Holy Days!
